Glucometer do its own calculations, an electric current pass through, level of glucose in the blood sample is determined, and a numerical value is given as a result of this whole process. This process happens just within a few seconds.

These types of meters actually do no need the blood samples of humans to record or get the readings of the blood glucose level or sugar level of a diabetic person. Instead, these type of glucometer sense blood glucose levels through the blood-rich areas of the skin of humans.
